Reciprocity

Below we outline the contribution scale for Healing Sessions / Community Sessions.

We understand that in our current society, salary and value of your role of service don’t always match up, and we aim to make this work accessible to all who seek it. Please see the below to help you make a decision on how much to contribute.

The opportunity to choose your contribution is an invitation to a culture of community, cooperation, trust, and equity.  When one person contributes more, based on what they are able to give, this opens doors for another to be able to join at the cost they can afford.

Our healing session rates are determined on what is the most basic we need to keep the practice going.  We do this work as a labor of love, and we also live in the world alongside you.  Your contribution goes towards keeping our work going, paying assistants, food, supplies, and temple maintenance.  It also goes towards regular donations toward our Ashaninka teacher and local Peruvian families who keep these traditions alive.  At this time we ask that you contribute both honestly and generously to help us keep developing a place to honor spirit, nature, and community.

BIPOC Scholarship:

We offer BIPOC Scholarships. Plant medicine spaces coming from South America to the North have largely consisted of affluent, white, male bodies.  We seek to grow out of these homogenous patterns and better reflect the diverse identities of the Bay Area and beyond.  Further, we wish to honor the ancestors of the lineage and land that have carried these medicines before us.  Affordability is a key area of exclusion, and therefore, we offer BIPOC scholarships to those in need.  Please contact us here if you’re interested to contribute to this scholarship or apply to receive a scholarship.

Healing Sessions Reciprocity Scale

Healing Sessions are very small sessions (4-8 people) alongside a highly skilled team trained in both traditional healing and trauma therapy.  This way we can offer safety, guidance, and a deeper healing process. Due to our small size and staff of trained therapists, our rates are different than typical healing circles with 20+ people.

Tier A - “Just Enough” Rate

Counseling Rate: $125- $175 /session **

Retreat Rate: $850-1200 (2 nights)

This is for people who are truly making just enough money to support themselves and pay for essential services including physical and mental health care, but not more than that. This is for people who are paying for therapy and professional education but cannot afford to eat out at restaurants, go on vacations, or go to festivals. Payment plans are also available for this tier.

Tier B - “Financially Stable” Rate

Counseling Rate: $150 - $225 /session **

Retreat Rate:  $1300-1600 per weekend (2 nights)

This is for people who have a basic level of financial stability in the Bay.  This includes those who have a stable paying job, have a car, feel comfortable taking vacation or festivals like Burning Man, and going to restaurants, etc.  This would include people who are investment-rich but cash-poor. This would include people who may not feel like they are particularly wealthy, but are objectively financially secure.

Tier C - “Materially Thriving” Rate

Counseling Rate: $250 - $325/session **

Retreat Rate:  $1600-1900 per weekend (2 nights)

This is for people who have substantial income or assets. This may be for people who have high paying jobs in tech, own companies, or are high-level freelancers/consultants, or inherited wealth.  This may include those who regularly spend money on entertainment or non-essential experiences, like travel for pleasure, or are able to buy large convenience items that are beyond basics (like a second car).  This would also include people who feel good about contributing more to the running of our practice, donations to our elders, and helping others access this work.

Contributing to Scholarships

Contributions beyond $2000 will make scholarship opportunities for others (social workers, teachers, care professions). These contributions also help us support our elders and develop the diversity and accessibility of our community.

Social Work, Education + Care Profession Scholarships

Counseling Rate: $0 - $100/session **

Retreat Rate: $650 per weekend (2 nights) / payment plan / work trade may be available

This is only for people in honest need of scholarship. This may include school teachers, social workers, those working in essential care professions, students, or academic researchers, or some working for non-profit organizations. Alternative payment plans can also be arranged

BIPOC Scholarships

Counseling Rate: $0 - $100/session **

Retreat Rate: $500 per weekend (2 nights) / payment plan / work trade may be available

BIPOC Scholarships are available in each ceremony. Please contact us at siripiari@protonmail.com to see which dates have a scholarship seat available.

Note: Please pay for counseling sessions directly to therapist (electronically). Please pay for retreats over the weekend (cash preferred).

Need-Based and Financial Hardship Scholarships

If one does not qualify for other scholarships but is unable to pay for a retreat due to temporary financial hardship, such as divorce, serious illness, climate disaster, or recent loss of job*, then contact siripiari@protonmail.com to discuss alternative payment plans and possible scholarship.

*this does not include those who are on long sabbaticals, extended self-selected unemployment, or ‘stock rich, cash poor’

It is our intention to make healing available to all people.

Community Sessions Reciprocity Scale
Community sessions are usually a little bigger and co-led by at least two experienced healers. For this reason, we invite you to still use the scale above.

Private Sessions Reciprocity Scale

Private sessions are determined case by case depending on group size and number of facilitators. The minimum for a 1:1 individual session is usually $3000 for two nights, or $1750 for one night. For private groups the minimum is $5500 per weekend or $3000 for one night, split among the amount of participants attending up to 6 attendees. For more than 6 attendees, we ask you to use the Contribution Scale written above.
